Default 1998 Toyota Celica GT Black Convertible Manual (Escondido) $2800

1998 Toyota Celica GT manual/5-speed black convertible for sale. Upgraded sound system (with DVD player), very well maintained, engine runs perfectly, new tires (about 4k miles on them), non-smoker owned. Has 185k miles on it. Also has an amp in the trunk but my sub blew so the amp is just idle right now, had a JL audio 12inch sub in the back that is still there atm in case new owner wants the sub box, if not I'll toss it. This is a perfect car to learn stick shift on and a great first car. Mechanically the engine runs great however there are a few dings in the cosmetics here and there:
There is a dent in the front left fender, there is a picture attached focused on this. There is a slight crack in the rear bumper and chipped the paint a little, there is another picture focused on this. There is also some paint fading on the rear right side.

The convertible top has 2 motors that run it to open/close it, and one is dead. There's a switch in the trunk to switch the top to manual mode so I leave it on that setting and have always operated it manually.
And then the motor for the antenna for the radio is broken so the antenna is stuck in the up position.

If the above things bother you I'm sure you could junkyard/ebay/etc spare parts for pretty cheap and swap them out.

So there's the cosmetics/etc that aren't great, but none of them affect the drivability of the car whatsoever and again the car runs perfectly and should last a helluva long time (assuming you continue to take good care of it). I've averaged about 25MPG on her, doing about 60/40 highway/city driving, autos.msn.com lists it as getting 22city/28highway. It has power windows/side-view mirrors/locks, CD and DVD player with like a 6inch or something (forget exact #) LCD display for playing movies, AM/FM, cruise control, A/C still runs great and blows cold air (I rarely used it because I liked the better gas mileage and just lowered the top when it got hot), it also has after market wheels but it came with those when I bought it and to be honest I know nothing about them.

She's been a great car to me for years and I'll be sad to see her go, but she'll continue to be a great car for her next owner. I'm selling it because I bought a new car and no longer need this one. I'm in Escondido, please email me if you're interested.
