Default Top 10 car songs

Maybe we can use "Turning Japanese"?

And *where* is "Beep-Beep"?!

Too bad more folks didn't hear Eleni Mandell's "1970 Red Chevelle" - great
song; not sure about the car, since I've never known anyone who had it.

Based on the true meaning of that song, it should be Mike Hunter's
theme song.

Then he'd have something else to do! <G>

I like "Little Honda" myself. You notice there are few old Toyotas in
antique auto shows so far.

And you and I know that's cuz we're still driving them....

....also, the really old Toys did seem to rust a lot. Doesn't seem to be so
bad now. Our '80 Celica was a total rustbucket, which is why we *drove* it
to the scrap heap. Engine worked just fine, but it was a damned rear-wheel
drive, manual steering. A bitch to handle, but had plenty of "balls."

*covering Hachi's eyes* The Corolla FX 16 has a lot of rust on its little
butt, which is due to 11+ years in New Hampshire, sitting outside the whole
time. For example (note the Celica's butt in that same shot):

In message news:et49r2.ko.1@news.evilcabal.org, WickeddollŽ sprach forth
the following:

For songs about cars, Little Deuce Coupe and Racing In The Street.

For songs to play in a car, The Boys Of Summer and The Unforgettable Fire.

For songs that fit both categories, Thunder Road and Runnin' Down A Dream.

I think the real title is "The Little Nash Rambler" and I think the author
was Spike Jones, who was the Weird Al Yancovic of his day, I think (just a
couple years before my time).

My favorite car song: "The Little Old Lady from Pasadena." "She'll give
'em a length and she'll shut 'em down..." I think it was recorded by Jan
and Dean but I'm not sure.

Before mine too, actually - I was a toddler, but it actually is called
"Beep-Beep" - I have it in my Dr. Demento collection.

Or the Beach Boys - all of them sound like they have testicular injuries.
LOL
