With the refineries going down because of Ike we might see 4.00 gas
again. I haven't been out today, has gasoline gone up yet ?

It is going up on the West Coast of Florida.

over 30 percent of the gas in the country is refined in Houston.

I'd suggest filling up your tank...

Someone needs to explain the oil companies law of supply and demand to
you. It goes like this:

"We have all the _supply_ so we can _demand_ whatever the %^#@ we want.

Nancy & Harry were making big noise about passing a law - never again heard
of that i know of about gouging - but surely we should be getting a rebate
from our friends in Saudi Arabia as they get a majority of the cost of oil.

We're in far N California about 3.79-3.95 for independants and majors Been
about this for a week or two, actually and just from feel, traffic is
somewhat reduced on I-5, except for trucks - a lot of them still rolling.
Diesel at TA is 4.04

They are raising the prices from about $ 3.60 two days ago to $ 4.30 around
3 PM in North Carolina and many gas pumps are running out of gas.

With oil hitting around $ 100 per barrel , someone is making a killing on
the gas. What happened to the government rulings on price gouging ?

Doncha love how "speculation" can make the price skyrocket, even before the
"event" happens?!
