Default JoeSpareBedroom is missing out

Joe hates dogs, he said as much. A poll just released said half of Americans
consider the family pet to be part of the family, another 36% consider the
family pet to be a non-human member of the family.

<quote>
An Associated Press-Petside.com poll released Tuesday found that half of all
American pet owners consider their pets as much a part of the family as any
other person in the household; another 36 percent said their pet is part of
the family but not a full member.

</quote>

My kids have never _not_ had a dog. We were late to get a cat, and we can't
get rid of the cats soon enough if you ask me, but I've had a dog for more
than 20 years. There was a period while I was in the military that I did not
have a dog, but I've had a dog all of my life. Dogs are cool. My eldest
child, now 23, selected the first dog my wife and I had but my second kid
has never lived a single day of her life with out a dog -- well, there was a
week or two between dogs after the first dog finally gave up the ghost and
the second dog came into our lives.

Now, I have to insist that my dog is social, and that it gets along well
with other dogs and people -- as opposed to violent, anti-social dogs that
some people like to have.

Joe hates my dog, and that says far more about Joe than about my dog. Poor
Joe ...

Hell, my dog is smarter than Joe. He's got sense enough to come in out
of the rain.

I've got three dogs, four including the neighbor's dog. I dog sit her
dog while she is at work or church. It's a chihuahua also as are mine,
pretty smart little dog, she sits in the window and watches for her
owner. At times she is a hell raiser!

Any self-respecting dog would turn into Cujo with just one whiff of
Joe.

I'm not Charles at all, I like women. I like my dog too, but not for any of
the same reasons. You, on the other hand have issues ...
