expensive car...expensive maintenance...you do the math

you can change you own oil in 30 minutes or less than the dealer

the dealer will charge you 5 dollars a quart and its about 3.50 at a auto supply chain store

same with the filter.

Seeing as you could have done both those things yourself....it's expensive.

But if you're too lazy to do it yourself, you have to pay a premium for their services. Which makes it cheap.

since he used synthetic blend oil, then thats one reason why its more. there may be an additional charge for extra oil, since that car takes over 5 quarts (i know at least some places charge extra for oil changes over 5 quarts). also i think the oil filter is more expensive than a "normal" one

This is precisely what I get charged for the same services at the local Infiniti store for my I30.

Luxo brands can do this, and will.

Thats a fair price for that BUT You DO realize that you are only driving a Toyota Camry with different emblems and 20 grand added to the price just for a giant "L" to be pasted on the front of a Camry, right??

At my shop we do a synthetic blend 5W30 oil change for $24.99 and the tire rotation is included for free.

Full-synthetic is $54.99.

Are you kidding? That's cheap compared to what I pay for on both my cars, thats normal for a Lexus too. On my 2009 Infiniti G37 I pay $85.00 for a synthetic oil change at my dealer and on my 2007 BMW 328i sedan I would be paying $130 for a synthetic oil change had I not been under warranty which by the way expires at the end of this year. You drive a luxury vehicle and the high cost comes with the territory, if you wanted to be more economical you should have opted for a Toyota. Your engine requires premium fuel and synthetic oil, although a mid grade fuel is passable for a Lexus ES350 any lower octane fuel decreases fuel economy and may in the long run decrease performance and trouble the engine as well. I would say $71.00 is completely normal for a Lexus, anything lower means your adding regular oil or just simply getting a real good bargain outside the Lexus dealer. I think $71.00 sounds great, even with the tire rotation too.

I think this price seems reasonable, but Lexus dealers do a good job, they changed oil and rotated your tires, they also do a full checkup of your vehicle.

If you want to save money:

Why do service at the Lexus dealer, why not go to Toyota Dealer, Lexus vehicles can be maintained at Toyota Dealers.

This is just to save money. My friends have Audi's they go to VW dealers, Infiniti to Nissan, Acura to Honda etc...

And as for tire rotation, go elsewhere, like Sam's club. They won't be honest though, they just do the job and thats it!

Very reasonable price. Its about the same that you would pay at a dealership. that engine takes 6.4 quarts of oil which is about 25 to 30 dollars on oil alone. the rest is labor for the oil and filter change and tire rotation.
