i know of the Lexus IS 250, Lexus IS 350, etc. what is the difference?

Also, compared to the Lexus CT hybrid, i know the CT gets better mpg, but how about safety? and which is bigger?

The CT is front-wheel-drive; the various IS models are rear-wheel-drive. (Lexus non-hybrid models tell you the displacement: a 250 is 2.5 liters, a 350 3.5.) Lexus would like you to think of the IS as a rival to the 3-series BMW. The CT is built on the Corolla/Matrix platform, albeit spruced up for Lexus duty; it's ten inches shorter than the IS.

The IS250 and IS350 is basically the same car, save for the engine. The 250 has a 2.5L V6 that has a little over 200 hp, the 350 has a 3.5L V6 which puts out a little over 300 hp. The 250 (2.5L) and 350 (3.5L) refers to the engine size.

None of these cars are large, although the IS may be slightly bigger than a CT. Bottom line, although all have a back seat, all are basically two person cars.

Regarding safety, Lexus has high marks across the board.

Good luck!

Lexus IS 250 yields fuel economy of 19mpg in city and 27mpg on highway, while IS 350 yields 20mpg city and 27mpg highway. IS 250 sprints from 0 to 60mph in 7.5 seconds but IS 350 takes 5.6 seconds
