Default Is the Homelink the problem?

My lexus homelink isnt working? I tried to use it but the garage is not responding when i push the homelink button in my car. The garage opener is a 1999 genie intellicode and im not sure if its the car or its the garage opener

Ok, having both a genie and homelink on 2 cars, it should work. I am assuming you had it programmed at one time. If so have any of the following happened since it stopped working.















1. Your car battery died or was disconnected.















2. Your home lost power for any amount of time. (If the onboard battery is dead this will cause it to wipe out.)































If either of those happened you need to reprogram the link to your car. You should have an actual remote for your system. It should work if the issue is your car lost programming. But if the unit lost the programming that wont work until you re-pair it.

Doesn't recognize your garage door opener. Common Lexus problem. Buy a new garage door opener.
