Default 1999 lexus ES300 (Problems)?
ok i have a few problems with this car































1. The Blinkers no longer work an the daytime running lights dont work at all (ive checked all the fuses an have changed them all as well as the main Relay)































2. We did a complete oil change / oil filter change an now the engine light is on, it may be because we didnt add in that much oil but i dont see why the engine light would go on?































3. TRAC OFF light went on after the oil change as well ?































4. Trying to hook up a aftermarket cd player can anyone link me to the proper harness to use for this car? i bought one before an it ended up being a complete dud an didnt work out at all















we dont even have the hazard switch hooked up :X cause we disconnected it to get to the radio you think thats the problem? an maybe i just blew a bulb on the headlight?































an what about the check engine light?































an the trac off light went off my friend said so his o2 sensor is probably going soon but its fine for now

1 check hazard light switch for a loose connection















2 bad o2 sensor will cause trac light to come on with service engine light

Your LEXUS requires special engine oils that are MARKED with the words,"meets or exceeds Toyota/Lexus specifications!" READ your owner's manual about the proper oil specification NUMBERS> and match those numbers. FORGET qquicky lube engine oil. It will clog up your engine insde and clog up your OIl pressure sending unit, like it seems to have already. Use ONLY synthetic engine oil, and change it once a year. Remove and check your EMERGENCY flasher switch. They usually come apart and can be cleaned. Be careful there are sometimes small bearings inside them. Use a good ENGINE FLUSHING chemciacla, and CHANGE THE OIL AGAIN using the RIGHT stuff!!! Improper oil choces ruin MORE engines than you can even IMAGINE!!! Do NOT get fooled by bargain oil change specials. GET SMART!!!
