More reliable: Lexus, but either is good.

Better mpg: Slight edge to the Lexus. Gets 26 hwy / 18 city, Caddy is good for 24/15.

Insurance: Call or get an online quote from an insurance company and ask. You don't have to actually own the car to get a quote, and you can get quotes on more than one car.

Good luck!

Both would have high insurance because they are luxury vehicles.

Both would have almost identical mileage but Lexus might be better if its a IS250.

Lexus may be safer in reliability because of Toyota/Lexus reliability reputation.
