Default How to supercharg a lexus gs430?

I just bought a 2001 lexus gs430. They dont have supercharger kits for the car and the only ones that were ever made are discontinued. I have bought a vortech v2 supercharger and wNted to know how i can possibly get this whole thing working. How much would it be for the custom piping and a used intercooler. From what I have read all i need now is the piping, intercooler, supercharger bracket, air intake filter, bov, upgraded fuel punp. Bigger fuel injectors, and since the maker of rmm superchargers said the stock ecu has a %20-/+ adjustibility i can use my stock ecu. I plan on running on low boost around 4-6 psi until i can get forged rods and piston heads cause my motor has 160k. Anyone know a rough estimate on how much these things will cost? Or if theres anything i forgot that someone could lead me in the right path.

Looks like you have quite a project on your hands. It is certainly doable, but it looks like you already know that you will need a lot of custom work done to make sure everything fits and works properly. Don't forget that you'll certainly want to get it dyno tuned after the install, so the stock ECU may or may not work.

The bigger issue here is the mileage on the motor. Introducing any boost to an old, tired engine obviously has its issues. Not to mention your brakes and suspension as well since the vehicle is now handling and stopping a lot more power.

You would likely be better off selling the Lexus and purchasing a vehicle that is an easier platform to supercharge or searching for a vehicle someone has already supercharged on Craigslist or elsewhere since they have already done all of the leg work.

Either way, have fun with it and be safe!
