Mercedes is the best. Lexus is just upscale Toyota. BMWs drivers are a$$ holes and jerks.

I'd go for one of the rear-drive Lexus if I wanted a nice car that never broke. I'd most likely go for a Mercedes, though, as the current crop of Lexii look like they've been given a serious beat-down with the Ugly Stick.

I wouldn't even consider a BMW that wasn't a 2002. The 325i I had was the most horrible car I've ever owned, and I've had a few winners.

Here's a breakdown.

Lexus is the luxury line of Toyota. By many consumer rating agencies, they are currently the most reliable luxury cars on the market. They are cheaper to repair than European luxury vehicles. They are also boring to drive.

BMW is pretty much the "ultimate driving machine". It's focus is on performance and driving experience. They are expensive to maintain and repair. Since BMWs are designed for performance, parts tend to wear faster and therefore need to be replaced. This highly depends on how the owner has cared for the car. A car that is maintained and cared for will last a lot longer than a car that's been driven hard.

Mercedes focuses more on luxury and experience than performance (with the exception of the AMG, SLK, and CLK classes). They are just about as expensive as a BMW or Audi to maintain and repair. In my opinion, they have a very distinct driving characteristic.

If price isn't a problem, get the BMW or Mercedes. You'll have a better driving experience and they are a lot of fun to drive. If you're looking for something more economical, get the Lexus.

1: Mercedes: They are comfortable, stylish, and have a lot of power. Yes, they are expensive and I wouldn't buy one unless you have the money.

2: Lexus: Comfortable, very reliable, not as stylish. My mom has a Lexus LS 460 L and it drives nothing like Toyota so those rumers aren't true.

3: Not very reliable or luxurious but very high proformance. Fun to drive, stylish, and cool.

I would choose BMW because they are sportier but Lexus is best of them all.
