Will removing my resonator out of lexus is 250 cause any problems?

Default Will removing my resonator out of lexus is 250 cause any problems?

Such as check engine light or smogs problem just to be cautious of,should I be aware of anything or is it fine to remove it and add a straight pipe to it just making sure any information would be nice thanks.

Hi the resonator is there for a reason in most cases this is a cataylic converter so removal is illegal.















also a resonator box also adds to the back pressure in an exhaust system. the back pressure on a road car improves fuel consumption.















it's removal does mean the engine will burn more fuel and be less powerful in certain circumstances like going up a steep hill.
