Default does Lexus IS350 cost nearly $50,000?? with a lot of options.?

would you recommend GS350 with less options or IS350 with a lot of options. I think they would cost about the same in those situations

the price is approximately in the high 40,000 range.

option meaning other things that are not included in the standard feature.

Depends on what your frame of reference classifies as being close, and also what is "a lot" of options? Cars like the IS are typically called semi-luxury cars, where the GS class couldn't be denied luxury status. I would think the base/core of the product would be worth more than simple add-ons. Although the GS is about 10k more on base price alone, I would definitely go for it, if the budget made it feasible.

Base MSRP starts at $35,905 - IS

Base MSRP starts at $44,150 - GS

Depends on what you are looking for...

an IS 350, fully loaded is about 40k....difference between that and an IS 250 is the horse power, about 100 more...the IS also handles a lot better then the GS....if you want power and handling, get the IS...if you want more luxary, and cabin room, get a GS...I have a 05 GS 300, I love the way it drives, but it does not handle as well as my 525i....

For a GS 350, you are looking at around 44k base i believe....if you want power and handling, I would wait for the IS F to come out...the dealership told me it would be about 50k, 500 hp, and would kill an m3 and an m5....

It does cost nearly $50,000 with fully loaded options. This is pretty much at the range of the starting price for the GS350. You can also wait for the IS-F that will be available next February or March in the US at 417 horsepower for $67,000. References below:
