Default Lexus SCRATCHED???

As I was pulling into my driveway, my dad's friend was getting out of his car. He asked me if he should move his car and it looked like there was enough space to get in so I went in. I was going very slowly and I heard the car scraping against the outside of the garage. The scratch is about .25 cm thick and 12 inches long. Should I tell my dad? His car was $75,000 and I am scared to tell him I scratched it. It is on the rear right door. Also, the car is a lease and we will be trading it is for another new Lexus. Will we be charged if the dealer sees the scratch? Should I tell my dad or wait for him to see it and assume another car hit it? I feel really really bad and I cannot stop thinking about it.

P.S. My dads friend does not know about it.

thanks 4 ur input everyone.

How very stressful that must be but, afterall, it is daddy's money. Don't worry, be happy.

ooh my mom scratched her lexus

she just took it to a body shop

they removed the door

scraped off the paint

then used some like magnet or wires to pull the dent back up to the regular car door shape

then painted it againj

and put it back on

Tell your dad he'll find out you did it anyway. I believe you have to pay the dealership for the scratch.

Tell your dad. Not telling will only make you feel more guilty and it won't help the situation.

There are things you can buy that will make it better. I wouldn't tell him unless you can't find the stuff or it doesn't work on the car. I forget what it's called.

tell him about it. i backed into something in my brand new car and my dad didnt even get that mad, he just said that it will happen again to everyone. its better to tell him than not to because you will get into even more trouble if you dont

Yes, im sorry but its gonna be hard, and im pretty sure hes not going to assume oh another car just hit.....i mean come on...just tell him, because he wont be as mad as if he found it himself, its the right thing to do!
