Default MY LEXUS wont START????

My LS 430 (2005) will not start. When I put the key in, It will not let me twist the key to turn on the engine. A red warning sign says "S/T locked" whats that? and how do I inlock it?

I need answers fast please.

Try what LAnce says. Turn the steering wheel hard to the right or left and turn the key. Try a couple more times if you don't suceed the first time. My Nissan used to do this and its supposed to be an anti-theft device (but the only person it ever kept from driving the vehicle was me).

St lock means that the steering wheel is locked. turn the steering wheel to the left while turning the key in the ignition. It should unlock. Hope that helps

That means that the steering wheel is locked. Try moving the steering wheel left and right, and move the key at the same time. The steering wheel gets locked when you move it when the car is off.

Call the Toyota...ehem... Lexus dealer and tell them that your Carmy... ehem, LS430 is inoperative. They should cater you with a limo service, caviar and other commodities. You do not need to know why is doing what is doing, is on the price when you bought it.
