If you're looking for cars LIKE Lexus, Infiniti is a great bet and so is Acura.

But if you're gonna go down the Lexus route, then an IS250 will do ya just fine. Here's an example of one in my area http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ctd/4293753652.html

IS is one of the better Lexus models in my personal opinion.

I've never owned one so I can't say much for daily driving issues but you should be well off in reliability.

I will say though that the backseats are not too great and that it doesn't handle the greatest that a car of it's sort could.

Here's a review of it with user reviews as well.

At your income level you can not afford a Lexus anything. If anything, you need to be looking at a Toyota Scion.

Save your money and use it towards something important. Like a cheap reliable car paid off. Not a "cool" car.

I'm going though something like this with my cousin. So lets break it down.

How is your credit or do you have any at all?

Lets just say you have excellent credit, most banks will only approve you for a car payment that is 20% of you income so you make 800 a month so yo are looking at 120.00 a month for a car payment. So there is no way you could afford or get approved for a 22K car loan.

If you take 22k and divide by 60(5years) you will get 366.00 dollars a month and that is not including taxes, fees, title and reg, and the BIG one finance charges.

So if I was you and this is the same thing I'm telling my cousin, save up a 1,000 and find a buy here pay here car lot that will report to your credit and get a car it will not be the car of your dreams, but it will get you closer to your dream car. Now you have to keep that are for 2 years so you can build up credit and also in that two years apply for some credit cards to help you build your credit.

p.s your 2nd car will still not be the car of your dreams, but it will get you even closer.

Get the IS 250 or you could get a 2007 - 2009 BMW 335i Coupe which I personally think is better or you could also look into Older Mercedes C - Class Models.

I recently got an IS 250 2010 at the lexus of Pembroke Pines dealer. When I went they had alot of Is 250s near the range you were looking for. As much as i wanted the new 2014 is i can't afford a $45,000 car. Check out the pre owned inventory.
