Default Is the Lexus LX 570 a fuel efficient vehicle?

I need something that's good on gas to commute to work, and there is a Lexus LX 570 on sale nearby. So, is it good on gas? (fuel efficient?)

Are you insane?? This is a large SUV with permanent four wheel drive. Weight, and permanent four wheel drive equal gas guzzler.

You want efficiency, get a VW with a TDi engine. Better known as a Turbo Direct Injection diesel.

No. They have V-8 engines. But they are really nice SUVs. Your neighbor will not be talking to you for a while.

It's a large, heavy SUV with a big engine. Gets maybe 15 mpg on a good day.

Pretty much the opposite of fuel efficient. You'd be hard pressed to find a bigger gas guzzler.

Unless a Lexus is a hybrid model and there is only one that I am aware of. Lexus, a luxury brand of cars by Toyota, deals with customer of new cars directly. Most of the customers for luxury vehicles do not care very much for fuel efficiency. Check data online and whatever was reported as the estimated MPG for city/highway, adjust by 30% less. Most people have no clue as to how the test was conducted and most people do have no clue as to how to drive efficiently. No, this is not an fuel efficient vehicle.
