Can I put 14-inch rims on a 2005 Scion XB?

I am thinking that smaller rims should give a softer ride, which would be desirable, but how much would the handling and braking be affected?

stick with the stock wheels engineers have spent years figuring out that kinda stuff. and when you start altering ur car u Create new problems. but yes its possible because people ride on spare tires which are smaller but with spares you shouldn't go over a certain speed and ETC like wise with smaller wheels, u car weight wont be supported correctly along with other things.

You can do it, however normally when changing the rim size you actually have a rougher ride rather than easier, although going smaller most likely will have little negative impact because now you can make the tires bigger. I mean its really up to you to decide if you want to shell out the money for an experiment
