Default 05 scion tc transmission fluid black?

I have a 2005 scion tc automatic 2.4.. And i recently changed the transmission fluid in it and put a new filter, but a couple weeks later as i went to check the fluid i noticed it black! I figured that cause i didnt get it flushed that maybe i didnt get all the old fluid out of it like in the torque converter etc. So thats the reason for fluid being black. I called a shop to see if they could flush it and i told them about the situation and they said they wouldnt touch it that when its black that means the transmission has a problem. Any ideas? It seems to shift fine.

If the trans. fluid is black you have may have big problems. The fluid is burnt from overheating it and will not lubricate properly. you may need a complete rebuild.
