Default Warranty for a 2008 Scion TC?

I'm looking into buying a used 2008 Scion TC. According to the CARFAX profile, it's in pretty good shape. The only concern is that the warranty is expired and I'm not sure if I should buy one if I get the car.

I have no idea what a warranty does for a car and the people I've asked said that it depends on what kind of car it is if it's worth having a warranty or not.

So, should I get a warranty on the car if I end up buying it?

Default

If you are the type of person that has money in the bank for repairs I would say no. The warranty probably covers the drivetrain which can be costly to repair. Maybe see if they will throw it in or keep looking. They are easy to find used.
