Default Should I buy this 2007 Scion CT?

I know a guy who is selling his 2007 Scion CT, because he got a Camaro. The car has around 60.000 miles and it is in really good conditions, I know him and I know that he really takes care of his cars and this miles are all highway miles, because of commuting. It has just the basic things, it doesn't have a screen, navigation... In the BlueBook, they said that its value is $9250, but I know that if he want to sell his car, he should drop the price a little bit. How much do you think I should buy it for? If he sell it in Craiglist how much would he get? Is $8500 ok? More? Less?

This would be my first car and I just wanted to know for how much would be a good deal. I don't know it this influence in the price, but we live in California.

Thank you.

And if he doesn't want to sell it for $8.500, is $9.000 for it ok? Or I should talk him down a little bit?

Thank you.

Is Tc not Ct but anyways go for it dude I have a scion tc 2006 is blue and I love it. And it seems pretty fair the price. Just make sure paint wheels tires and all the other stuff like engine a/C heater etc... works and if all that is in good conditions u should definitely go for it.

You should consider this car is expensive to gas and insurance:

Check your quoutes for the car before making a decision about buying.
