Default Need details to replace passenger door outside handle

Help! I'm a novice at this sort of thing, but since I'm retired I
thought I might try to fix this myself, if I can get detailed
instructions.

One day a week or two ago the outside passenger door handle just
stopped working, absolutely no resistance to being raised. The power
switch operates the lock part fine, and I can open the door from
inside using the inside door pull, so it's got to be a disconnect
between the outside door handle and the locking mechanism in the door
itself.

I can follow instructions pretty well, assuming enough detail. So is
there any specific info on this on the web etc. I could download? I
have the Haynes manual but it isn't very clear and skips a number of
steps I guess you're supposed to know already.

Thanks in advance,

Norm

PS It's a 1999 Camry XLE V6 with power windows and that tiny speaker
on the inside of the door directly behind the power mirror.

Take off the interior door panel, maybe what goes to the lock broke
off, you wont know till you see it. Remove screws and lift up, I think
thats all there is to removing the interior panel.

See the online free repair guide:
http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm

Under "Body & trim -> Interior -> Door panels"

Just many screws, clips, careful prying.
