Default 2009 Camry's

On a whim I went shopping at Toyota yesterday and bought a new Camry. They gave me a really good deal with $8000 off my 2003 Camry even though it had over 100,000 miles on it. I even got a low 1.9% interest rate.

Here's the question. I test drove a red car but then changed my mind about the color. I took a shine to a sky blue pearl color instead that I saw in the showroom. They said they had one just like it on the lot that was a little cheaper so I went with it, but I didn't go out and personally look at it (stupid me). Now I'm wondering about the seat colors. Do all the LE Camry's have the same seat fabric? I really hope it's a light gray and not dark. I feel so dumb for not checking that. I paid for the car & signed all the paperwork but don't pick it up till tomorrow so it hasn't left the car lot yet. I'm worried now that it may be dark and not the lighter gray. I can't believe I was so dumb not to insist on seeing the car.

Looking at the Toyota website, it appears that the LE comes in either Bisque
(light brown) or Ash (light gray) fabric. The dark charcoal is only for the
SE model. I would think that a blue car would be ordered with a gray
interior, but not guarantees.

I think that the LE only comes with either light gray or tan colored
interior.
Lets hope that this is your biggest worry.
My wife drives the 2003 LE, I drive the 2009 LE
I think there is a world of difference between the 2 cars, personally I like
the 2003 much better. It is quieter than the 2009 it's got more "get up and
go" from a stop(I don't mean *racing* to the next light)and Toyota
"cheapend" it quit a bit with a lot more plastic and a lot less plush cloth.
The way I look at it, other than the "improved safety features" the 2009
does'nt have much over the 2003.
I hope you are not as disappointed as I am.

I hope I'm not disappointed either, but what's a girl to do when the other one was starting to nickel and dime me to death? I figured it was better to put the money into a payment over continuous money going into a car that is getting older. My 2003 had 114,000 miles on it. I commute back and forth to work 50 miles per day. They gave me a good deal on a trade in and rebate so I grabbed it and ran. HA I will MISS my 2003 -- it's always been a great car till now. I'm sure someone can get it and make it a gem. I can't tinker with it and fix little things on my own where someone else can. Wish me luck with the 2009.

Just out of curiosity, what was going wrong with the 2003? Our 1995
sedan didn't start to develop significant repair bills until about
160,000 miles. We just had to do preventive maintainance on it.

Toyota don't rebuild them like they used too. Normal oil change is
down to 5000 miles from 7500 because of sludge concerns. The new U-
series transmissions can shudders and shift harsh because solenoid and
other internal problems. The later V6 even skip gears on you. Even the
V6 used on the Lexus line has piston slap.
