According to the Gates Timing Belt Replacement Guide:

the 1998-2004 5VZ-FE 3.4L V6 is an *interference engine*.

The spec interval for the 5VZFE prior to 98 is 60K miles severe
service. However, Toyota increased it to 90K miles.

If you do your own work I'd stick with the more conservative 5year/60K
miles schedule.
