Default radiator cap question

Is the radiator cap supposed to be replaced periodically? Every 10

Thanks,

Michael

I had to change my radiator cap on my dodge van. It did not seal properly.
cost a few bucks.. I would get a new one.

It should be tested, but its probably less trouble to get a new one,
except I dont trust alot of aftermarket stuff, mine was releasing to
quickly one summer so I replaced it.Tank should fill when hot after a
good drive and go lower when cool.

==========
There is no established recommendation, but for inexpensive insurance
when I replace the water pump I also replace the thermostat and
radiator cap with Toyota parts.
