Default CD player ruins my MP3 CDs

I am experiencing a problem with my CD player, and I was wondering if
anyone else is having the same problem, and if so what I can do about it.

I place some MP3 speeches on a CD so that I can play them on my CD
player in my Camry. They play well for a very short while. But after
about 2-3 playings, the CD becomes unreadable. Th CD player seems to be
ruining the CD. (I can't even read the CD on my PC afterwards.)

I've had this problem with 2 Camry's. I had it with a 2007 (which got
totaled in an accident), and now I have the same problem in my 2009 Camry.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a Camry problem?

Try switching to a different brand of blank CD. Does the problem
persist?

OK, I'll give that a try. Right now I'm using Memorex. Any suggestions
for a better brand?

Burn the disc at 1/2 your burner's or disc max speed
the lower of the two.

I'd have to look 'em up on the web. I haven't burned CDs in awhile.

Some players (not just in cars) have trouble with CD-RWs and only want
CD-Rs.

Some CD burners don't do a good job burning disks. I had a Memorex
burner I bought from Fry's 10 years ago that would cause pops when
playing CD-Rs on regular players. A BIOS/Flash upgrade fixed that.

Try different media, try different CD burners on different computers,
try CD-Rs instead of CD-RWs...
