Default brakes HELP

please before toyota tells me that I need rotors....how much should
brakes cost for A 93 CAMRY? If rotors are necessary an and I do not
think so then how much could it be.....car has 91K and first time brakes
are needed

Your question is nearly impossible to answer. In our area, there is a
chain of shops which advertises a $99 brake job in which they replace
the pads and turn the rotors. Anything else is more money. Having said
that, unless you put a micrometer to the rotor to measure the thickness
and then check it for wear, there is no way on an internet newsgroup
that anyone can give you a price. Call the parts department at Toyota
and then the local poarts retailers for prices on rotors, pad sets, etc.
and that will give you a better idea. You might not need rotors. You
might get away by doing this yourself and paying only for a set of pads
and do the job in your driveway.
