Default Camry ´92 does not start

I have a Camry ´92 3VZFE V6 automatic. I was driving at a speed of
60mph/105km when I realized that the engine had died. I shifted the
car to neutral and stopped the car. The cooling water boiled so after
waiting for it to cool down I put in more coolant to replace the 1,5
litre that was lost.
But know the car will not start - the starter seems to do its job but
the engine does not start - its totally dead. My guess is the timing
belt has gone - it was changed at 100.000km/60.000miles and the car
has 195.000km/119.000miles on it now.
How can I tell if the timing belt is broken? Or does this sound like
something else?

When my 92' 4 cylinder timing belt broke, the engine turned over twice as
fast when you turned the key and made a much higher whining sound.

Thanks BLimey - I thought I was crazy but when starting the car it
sounds nearly like the starter does not turn the enginge or like you
say turns real fast... The car has been trouble free outherwize. I
will have to take it to the shop to get the timing belt replaced. This
was on my schedule next sommer at 120.000 miles - just bad timing now.
The only thing I can´t understand is why the coolant boiled? Is it
because the engine was turning real fast when the timing belt broke
and the water pump stopped instantly?

If the head(s) warped from overheating, they need to be replaced.
Sorry.
Had this happen on an older 4 cylinder truck, and a neighbor
recommended a place called "cylinder head exhange" in Southern
California. IIRC the remanufactured head was only $125 and I also
purchased a camshaft from them for $40. (20-R engine)
This was a long time ago, but the head still works fine.
Did my own labor (with photocopies from the library), so it furned out
being an inexpensive repair instead of the end of the vehicle.
Perhaps you could find something similar.
In my case, I was able to coast over a mile to a gas station when the
engine first died, and a mechanic nearby (when he heard the engine
cranking without starting said it was a familiar sound to him -
guaranteed warped (aluminum) head).

Cus the timing belt also drives the water pump. I've heard
of water pumps seizing up and taking the timing belt with
them. Hopefully it shut right down before it really
overheated the engine and damaged the head/block. I'd
consider replacing the water pump at the same time if it
wasn't done the first time around.
