Default When are additives added during tranny flush process?

I was told tranny flush heats the tranny parts and then the additives
are added after a 20-30 min cooldown. Is this how it works?

Not true. Take the car elsewhere. If these guys are misrepresenting to
this extent, would not have them touch the car.
By the way, there's no point in discussing or arguing with them. They
will insist this is true even though it is not.

Transmission fluid is highly detergent, you don't need any additional
cleansing additives.

Thanks Dan!

This is what happened. I left the car at 11 am and I was told I will
get it in 1.5 hrs which is about 12.30 pm ..So i told them I will come
between 12.30 pm - 1 pm to pick it up. When I came at 12.50 pm I saw
the hood open and nothing being done. I asked the manager whats
happening. He mentioned they have kept the hood open to cool off as
they need to add additives to the tranny fluid. I thought the flush
was done and he meant the additives would be added soon. I waited and
waited and waited...i could see the car throught the glass door.
Finally at around 1.45 pm one guy pulled my car into the work area and
connected some 3/4 hoses from a portable unit to my car ( I guess its
the tranny flush kit). After 15 mins everything was done and I got the
car. Does tranny flush take only 15 mins. He charged me for 9 qts of
tranny fluid (Dextron i think)...

Thanks again

15 minutes is about right --- new ones DO NOT use Dextron though ('03-04 at
least). I would have though capacity would be more like 6 qts but with
flush you waste some so 9 probably on target. I waited 1 1/2 hours to have
a sun visor replaced under warranty. Was told it would take 30 minutes and
20 of that would be paperwork.
