Default '94 Camry stalls (sometimes) when stopping

I have a '94 Camry with approximately 59K orig. miles. It stalls on
occasion when coming to a stop- the engine revs - and the 'tack' needle
goes below 1K and fluctuates up and down - until it eventually stalls.
This happens even after a long trip - when coming to a stop to pay the
toll or make a turn. It has had new plugs, wiring, everything - just
can't shake this problem.

try a short spray of TriFlow at the rectangular hole (air inlet to IAC
valve) at the (inside) bottom of the throttle body.
the idle air control valve regulates idle speed (controlled by the
computer)
if that valve were sticking could account for idle speed not responding
correctly
TPS (throttle position sensor) could be questionable also. (tells the
ECU computer when throttle is closed at idle)
check for smooth progressively increasing resistance with ohm meter
there is also a setting measured across the IDL contacts at the TPS
while holding thin thickness guage in position to calibrate the point
at which idle engages.
these setting are in the factory service manual under the heading of
throttle body removal

These are the classic symptoms of a bad EGR valve. (Exhaust-Gas regulating
valve -about $325).

Sounds like the idle control air valve is not doing its job. Try
removing and cleaning it. Do a web search on how to complete this very
common job.

You may be able to do an adequate job by spraying into the throttle
body ports (on the bottom on both sides of the throttle plate) of the
IAC valve.
