You really are clueless. Extended WARRANTIES are for suckers, 99% of the
time. You must be a blonde.

Pretty much. HA HA. One person in several hundred will benefit, the
rest will not. That's how insurance companies make their money.

One of many reputable articles that tear apart extended warranties is
available here:

http://64.224.99.117/pdf/ExtWarr.pdf

Auto and home insurance are really best used to prevent catastrophe
loss -- the $500K lawsuit after an accident or the total loss of a
home, although people do of course make smaller claims (and usually see
an uptick in their premiums when they do).

A mechanical machine is more likely to have a problem than you having
an accident or a tree falling on your home. 1 in 3 vehicles have a
mechanical failure within a 12 month time period. Then everyone should
self insure. To each their own.

So, "nancy" just what is your commission on this product, which I
notice is only an insurance brokerage, rather than a warranty company
itself. It must pay pretty well if you drive a "rover."

For those looking for independent advice, here are a few more sites
that discuss the advantages of extended warranties.....

Do you have a problem with people who work hard? Try
http://www.edmunds.com as well for unbiased opinions. Do you your own
due dilligence, read the contracts. I am only asking folks to make up
their own minds.

I've been playing around, when I really shouldn't be. The issue is
that SPAM is unwelcome in newsgroups. Of course, I've only helped keep
it at the top by replying, so I apologize to the group.

I will go and sin no more. I suggest you do the same.
