Default seals to replace when changing timing belt?

Besides the water pump, what other items (seals) can/should be replaced
when changing the timing belt?

Please provide the part numbers too, so I'll know what they look like
(and know how to order them, too).

Thanks!

Michael

Default Re: seals to replace when changing timing belt?

Drive belts, thermostat, cam oil seal, crank oil seal, oil pump seal
(which looks like a cam/crank seal). Valve cover gasket set (incl spark
plug tube seals), PCV grommet ($2-3).

If over 100,000 miles or second timing belt, consider radiator hoses
and/or other coolant hoses.

I don't have Toyota part numbers, but these are for reference, assuming
97 5SFE:

(www.rockauto.com prices)
GATES TCK199 (kit of timing belt with two pulleys and instruction)
$84.79
GATES Part # K030295 PS belt $4.32
GATES Part # K050435 Alt/AC $12.12
FEL-PRO TCS45641 Cam seal $4.11
FEL-PRO TCS45920 Crank seal $6.04
BCA Part # 221820 Oil pump seal $2.71
FEL-PRO VS50304R valve cover gasket set $13.94
BECK/ARNLEY 0396428 $1.87
AISIN (Toyota #16110-79185) water pump $58.79

---------------------------------
This included things like five (5) oil filters and three (3) air
filters, plus the timing cover gaskets because some sections of mine
were missing. Also changed the alternator brushes, and gas cap.
The genuine Toyota parts are slightly higher, but one of the reasons I
bought a Toyota was because they last indefinitely with proper care and
I attribute this to the design and quality of their parts.
I also clean every fastener with a wire brush, and clean the sealing
surfaces.
If you plan on keeping the car, it's not a bad idea to change the
fasteners also, for example water pump bolts that may be subject to
corrosion.
Car doesn't leak a drop of oil and the entire engine compartment is
spotless.
Runs flawlessly.
There's no price on the coolant because that could not be shipped.
Prices were from Butler Toyota in Indiana. Even though I am in
California, they had the quickest and best response to my request for
pricing.
