Default raising driver's seat in '95 Camry wagon

I'd like to raise the driver's seat approx. 1". Haines
notwithstanding, only the two front bolts and left rear
bolt point down so that one can easily add shims.
The right rear bolt is horizontal, screwed into the hump
in the middle. Is there only one horizontal screw hole
under the carpet? Or is there a higher one? Any advice
to raise my (simple, not motorized) driver's seat?

Thanks!
H.K.

There isn't a knob on the side of the seat?

They used to be all straight down, but they changed right around the time
your car was made. Sucks. But, then again, I am always trying to move my
seat DOWN, which REALLY sucks. Perhaps you could adapt something, like a
piece of drilled angle-iron. You should be able to pick this up at a
hardware store for a few bucks. They can probably cut it for you, too.
Then, make sure the original 14mm bolt fits, and pick up a nut, bolt,
washer and lock washer and bolt the bracing from the seat into this.

Note, this is NOT really recommended!!! You really want to make sure the
seat is anchored properly to the car!

As far as the rest of the bolts, you will probably also have to replace
them with longer bolts to make sure they anchor the seat, and use some
copper or lead piping that the bolt JUST fits into to raise the other
mount points.

Good Luck! (and I thought *I* was a k00k!

============
If the seat adjuster on the side of the seat cushion doesn't work,
Toyota sells the foam for the seats - yours may just be worn.
