Default Familiarity with Rock Auto Parts? Big discrepancy in cost of motor mount.

In the course of replacing the oil pump on my 89 Cressida I discovered
I have a separated driver side motor mount.

Toyota wants $171 for one. Looked online, found one at Auto Parts
Warehouse for $53.52 w/shipping, Rock Auto Parts has one for about $25
w/shipping. While they're both a big savings over Toyota, paying less
is always great. However I'm wondering how Rock can sell the same part
for less than half of Auto Parts Warehouse. Wondering if the Rock Auto
mount is junk.

Anyone have experiences with either of these places? APW currently has
an 8.51 rating with Resellerratings.com, Rock has a 6.85.

Any recommendations of other online vendors you've been happy with?

Thanks.

I've used both. The parts are likely the same part from the same plant
in China.
APW may not sell as many Toyota parts so they don't discount them as
much. Or the mount may be a part they don't normally stock.

I've ordered stuff from rock auto many times. Never had an issue with
them. However it's the kind of place that gives a lot of info but
ultimately the customer needs to know what he wants. Rock auto carries
parts in various grades. Some or all may or may not be available for a
particular part/application. The cheapest ones are usually the same
cheapos carried by everyone else and often priced less. I go for the
better grade stuff that I can't easily get a lot of other places online
and off because most auto parts stores cater to customers who want
something cheap rather than something good.

What you really want to research is the company that made the part. A
vendor rating isn't going to answer the important question, which is the
quality of the part.

For some things, Amazon works.
Got a real deal on Eclipse OEM O2 sensors.
Same with some Chevy/Pontiac manifolds and gasket sets.
I put a motor mount on my Lumina last year.
The original rubber was so torn up it was unrecognizable, and there
were 2 possible mount types.
So I bought it at O'Reillys, where I could match the part with the old
one. Wasn't expensive enough for me to worry about price.
No sense worrying about where it was made - the answer is always
China.

Except for Amazon, the only on-line auto parts vendor I've used was A1
Auto, for a window regulator last year.
That was fine, and about 1/3 the price GM wanted.

For 25 bucks, go for it.
Probably so cheap because nobody needs them anymore.
Smart of them to unload them. Parts for 1989 cars don't move.
I've seen that happen with radiators.
Paid +$200 for a Corsica radiator, and 5 years later you can get it
for $110, because nobody needs them anymore.

For an 89 model, I'd go with the bargain motor mount. You can buy
.....almost 7 of them for one genuine probably radiated Toyota motor
mount. Toyota is very proud of their parts and antifreeze.
30 bucks for a gallon of their antifreeze.

Rock Auto sometimes has the same part from several different
distributors and there can be wide ranging prices on just the Rock
Auto page! I've bought the least expensive parts and they have worked
just fine.

If you put in a good one, you don't risk the chance of it breaking.
Not just the price of the mount, but the other things it could damage.
89 Cressidas do NOT have wimpy motors. You can twist one up to the
hood quite easily.
