Default Intermittent Problem 12 Volt Battery

I have a 2001 Toyota Prius with an intermittent problem with the 12
volt battery. When not used for one day I find the 12 volt battery
depleted and requiring a jump to start the car. The car then performs
normally for perhaps several days, before the problem repeats. The 12
volt battery has been tested and found to be OK etc. Apparently, on an
intermittent basis, there is a slow draw on the 12 volt battery. Any
informed help with this problem would be greatly appreciated and
thanks !

You have an ignition off current draw (IOD) that exceeds the capacity of
the battery. Since you have had the battery tested, the IOD is the issue.

Please clarify "IOD". What could be the cause of the IOD ? Why is it
intermittent ?

Please don't top-post.

He could not have been clearer when he said:

"You have an ignition off current draw (IOD)".

He never said it was intermittent.

On possible cause of intermittent current drain would be an overhead lamp
switch that is adjusted at the margin.

If the non-start condition is intermittent it may be that the IOD is
constant but in some cases the 12V battery is not fully charged when the
IOD commences, or the IOD period is longer or shorter, such that it
does/does not deplete the 12V battery to the level that the non-start
condition is triggered.

You will have to find the IOD. Never easy. Good luck.

I would start with any aftermarket electronics that may have been installed.
