Default Runner-Up Finish for Truex at Kentucky Speedway

Team Toyota teammate Christopher Bell finished seventh, earning fifth top-10 finish since NASCAR made its return in May. The rookie was pleased with his result but wanted more. It was a very confusing day. I have moments where I felt like my Camry was really fast and I could run really good lap times, and then I had moments where I wasnt very good in traffic today for whatever reason. Normally, that is our strong suit is being able to pass guys, and today I really struggled with that. Obviously, Im happy with getting out of there with a seventh, but disappointed. I wish we could have been a little bit better when we had that track position. Denny Hamlin finished 12th, Kyle Busch 21st, Erik Jones 22nd and Daniel Suárez earned a 26th-place finish. So, you wanna be an all-star? Wednesday night is your chance! The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Bristol Motor Speedway for the All-Star race. Coverage begins at 7:00 PM ET with the running of the NASCAR All-Star Open on FS1 and can be heard on MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
