Budd’s Creek Results HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (June 19, 2011) – Budd’s Creek Motocross Park in Mechanicsville, Md. hosted round four of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Budd’s Creek is the closest track on the circuit to Washington, D.C. and Redskins Park. In the early nineties Joe, J.D., and Coy Gibbs would attend amateur races at the facility. Now in its 18th year hosting a round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship, the track is a sort of homecoming for the Gibbs family.Les Smith once again substituted for Justin Brayton, who is now riding and expected to return to racing at the upcoming Lakewood, Colo. event. In the first moto Smith and Davi Millsaps began the race about mid-pack. At the completion of lap one Smith was in 17th and Millsaps in 14th position. Over the ensuing 15 laps Millsaps would battle to a seventh place finish with Smith advancing to 16th.Millsaps fared better at the start of moto two, running in the top-10 right away. Smith however was mired in the pack rounding out the first lap in 23rd. Smith fought his way to 16th with Millsaps ninth. Millsaps seven – nine moto scores credited him with seventh overall for the day, while Smith’s 16 – 16 finishes were good for 15th. The first moto from Budd’s Creek was broadcast live on allisports.com and Fuel TV. The second moto will air tonight at 10:00 p.m. (EST) on SPEED. There will be a highlights and re-cap show of the race Thursday, June 30 at 10:00 p.m. (EST) on Fuel TV.Round five of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship will be held at Thunder Valley Raceway in Lakewood, Colo. on June 25. The first moto will be broadcast live on allisports.com and Fuel TV at 3:00 p.m. (EST). The second moto will air on SPEED at 11:30 p.m. (EST).
