Default 99 corolla cabin air filter?

i have a 99 toyota corolla.i have a smell cominn out of my vents (wet socks) i was told it could be my cabin air filter.?? is it hard to change if it is?

Not at all.. Its behind the glovebox.. You will see two screws. You can get a cabin air filter at auto zone.

Its not that hard. 20 minutes max to change it. It is behind the glove box compartment.































If you are smelling something sour (wet socks), you may have to bring your car to the dealer. They have to clean the evaporators because the dirt that accumulated in the evaporator always stays wet. Bacteria loves wet places. These bacteria produces the sour-smell (wet socks).

I'm not sure, but I don't think Toyota had cabin air filters in 1999 models. I could be wrong though, but only newer Toyotas have the ACFs.

there isn't one.you have to clean the crap out of your evaporator,plusb the tube where the moisture comes out may be blocked.The tube is on the firewall.
