As I have said on here before: Your vehicle does not use Freon. To be specific it is the refrigerant HFC-134a, R-134a, or 1,1,1,2 tetrafluoroethane. (different names, same substance)
The term Freon is a registered trademark of the DuPont corporation used as a name for R-12, R-22, and a few other refrigerants manufactured by them. In other words it is somewhat correct to refer to 12 or 22 as Freon kind of like how everyone calls a box of cotton swabs Q-tips but it is NOT correct to call 134A "Freon" as it is a completely different substance.
To answer your question the only way to be absolutely certain that the charge amount is correct is to remove whatever is in there now using a recovery machine then weigh in the new charge by setting the 30lb cylinder of 134 on a digital scale and charging till the weight indicated by the scale drops by the amount shown on the sticker under the hood of your car.
