Default How reliable is the Toyota Celica?
I was just wondering how reliable the toyota celica is (the one from 99 onwards) should I avoid ones with over 100,000 miles. How reliable is it in comparison to a mk4 Golf. Thanks

Im a certified mechanic and I can tell you Toyota is one of the most reliable car companys in the world if not THE most reliable. Avoid the VW they are spotty on reliability. The toyota even with over 100k miles would make the VW seem like a ford pinto in terms of reliabilty. Oh and they're fun to drive too!

never go by mileage go by shape















type into search box















how to check used car































go by a checklist to look for signs of problems















comparison ten times better















can also type into search box year model problems like 1999 Toyota Celica problems and read about whats been said about them can do that with any car































knowing what shape ones in is whats important mileage has little to do with shape my car has over 300,000 miles runs great you can find a low mileage car thats beed drove at dragstrip and be junk check shape look for signs like oil leak or uneven wear of tires get a check list wil help you decide if its in good shape or not

I had one (2004) from new for 3 years and it didn't live up to the reputation that Toyota have.































It never broke down or wouldn't start, but had a lot of issues fixed under warranty.































Also when they do go wrong the Celica is expensive to fix.































Most of the issues I had were common as other people experienced the same.































A good car, but not as well built as you would expect.

you cannot beat a toyota my last celica had over 500k on it when i fliped it over 9x's. It still ran but it was crushed

i wouldn't get the volks,but the celica in my opinion is still better than a volks but the worst toyota car they have,get a corolla sport,trust me ive seen them and driven them all
