I have a BRAKE warning light flashing a couple of times a day on my dash?

Default I have a BRAKE warning light flashing a couple of times a day on my dash?
The brakes seem fine and the emergency brake is not down.Is this serious or a big repair?Is it safe to drive the car?Thankyou Ps this happened a couple of times yesterday then stopped but did it again this morning

by what you tell us, i dont think its a big fix or expensive fix, WARNING dont let mechanics tell you other wise. get it diagnosed at the shop of your choise BUT ask to see the results. in a lot of cases they can reset the computer on ur car and the light will dessapear. (in some cases the light might come back) and that shouldnt cost you alot. if they tell you its a sensor or a break problem be sure to act confident and not clueless so they dont think like they can sell you what ever they want.

the light coming on could be a low brake pad warning light. get you,re brake pads checked as soon as possible.

As your brakes wear down the fluid lever in the reservoir drops.































1.) Check the fluid level















2.) Check the pad wear

check the master cilender with brake flood it depends apon the make of car what to put in it dot 3 or sinthect flood

Does it only happen on hills?















If it does fluid can be low..















Do you have grinding when breaking?















Breaks need pads, and possibly rotors..















Do you have a squeak that you can hear at low speeds?















Break pads are going..















Random flicker can also be caused by the switch being loose for the Ebrake..















In older cars it is a L shaped Clamp and a screw, that can come loose under years of vibration..















Does it only happen when its cold?















Could be caused by the switch sticking..
