it is a 4 cylinder 2.4 L and i didnt know if i should do 24 inch rims because idk how powerful the transmission is SOMEBODY PLZ HELP

I don't know, will they even fit in the trunk of that car? You might have to get a trailer to pull em around.

I wouldn't do it. The motor is too small to handle the added rotational weight of 24 inch rims. That, and the transmission will be under strain, the braking ability will suck, so will the handling, the gas mileage, and the acceleration. If you want the car in the shop regularly to replace worn out suspension, brakes, and drivetrain parts, then go for it.

24's on a highlander would look really tacky. Get a bugatti and put 24's on that b*tch!
