Lets see..I got a 72 landcruiser with 210,000 miles on it a 81 trekker with 270,000 plus and a 98 100 series landcruiser with just over 100,000 miles with not a problem...I,ll let you headbutt the brick wall!!!!!
Generally i dont let things worry me too much, but in this case i would take on the brick wall before i would drive a newer Toyota on that recall list.
I honestly dont think Toyota is 100% certain what the problem is, i think they are just guessing.
I have an '87 GMC Suburban 4X4 with 205,000 miles and a '69 Camaro with 218,000 and It's a show car. Plus an '01 Lincoln Town Car with 105,000. I'ts been broken in for 5000 miles now.
