Default Buying a used toyota avalon xls car?
hi everyone, am a college who have save up $4000 to buy a car. a saw a 2000 toyota avalon xls and the dealer is willingly to accept the $4000 that i have. the inside and outside of the car looks like a brand new car. however, the only drawback is that the car has 126,352 miles on it. should i go ahead and buy the car? please give me a honest and brutal answer. thanks

Get it checked out, or at least an OBD2 check done. A 10 year old car for $4000 and 126k miles on it, where 200,000 isn't too surprizing- if it's in good shape, it might be a good deal. If there are any oil leaks- engine or transmission, leave it for somone else.

Still have lots of life in the car,buy it but ask for warranty,try to bargain it down as much as possible,also check to see timing belt job was done,that alone can save about 500 bucks.One hint,start the engine,should see no warning light (Check engine,air bag or ABS or anything else) glows on dash.Good luck with it,it is a good car,trust me.

toyotas are very reliable I had a 94 corolla with almost 200,000 miles just make sure the car isnt like modifided or w/e in which could come with many issues other wise I would get it if it looks nice.
