Default 2007 toyota tacoma 6 cyl will not accelerate ?
does anyone know why my 2007 toyota tacoma will NOT accelerate? it does not do this all the time. doesn't seem to be any logic to when this happens. check engine light will come on during these episodes. sometimes turning the vehicle off for a while makes the problem go away.

If it's an 07 it's probably under warranty, take it to the dealer and have them read the code. The powertrain has a 5 year 60,000 mile warranty.































If it's not under warranty anymore, most auto parts stores (kragen, advance auto, orielly, pep boys) will read the check engine light code for free.































Once you have that code, than we can help. A better place to ask this question would be tundrasolutions.com or toyotanation.com, but really without the code it will be a bit of a wild goose chase.

I guess that is better than a lot of toyota owners who accelerate too much.
