Assuming the engine is "high mileage" (over 100 k mi) 10w 30 is probably fine. and you might want to consider using one of the major oil companies "high mileage" formula oils. they have extra additives designed for high mile engines. if you happen to live in a really hot area (100 F plus) you might want to use a 10w 40 in summer - and change back to 10w 30 for winter.
