Default I am considering purchasing a 1995 Toyota 4Runner. Any thoughts?
I have seen and driven this vehicle and it seems to be in very good condition. Low miles, new tires, new exhaust, new battery, looks great inside and out. Well maintained, selling for $4000. That being said, the truck is still 15 years old, and that concerns me. My goal is to buy an inexpensive used truck that will get me through the next 3-4 years with minimal repair costs. I drive about 18K miles/year - mostly highway. I know the 4Runner has a reputation for long lasting reliability, but I'm still not sure if it is a good choice. Any thoughts?

The age of the vehicle should only matter if it had high mileage. The 4Runner is an excellent vehicle and will last as long as you keep up on routine maintenance i.e. fluid changes and services. The price you are paying for the vehicle is an awesome deal and will offer many years of good transportation.































I have an 89 Truck V-6 196k miles, 92 Truck V-6 223k miles, 88 Toyota Corolla 235k miles, 97 Celica 81k miles. All were bought inexspensive and have lasted me for 5 years and counting with only routine services.
