Default alternator good, battery good, belt slips & battery dies& light comes off and on when
driving. what can it be?

i would connect a 4g wire from the charging post of the alt to the pos post of the battery, and a 4g wire from the battery to the engine ground, and also run 2 8g neg to the fender and one to valve cover or alt bracket. 3 ground points should be very clean and paint/grease free, and use new brass or gold terminal posts,dont go cheap.. g/l

You have already answered your own question: "belt slips".































Replace the belt, and make sure that you adjust the belt tension correctly (depending on vehicle, *something* will be adjustable that the belt comes in contact with...maybe the alternator, maybe an idler pulley, something...)

It depends on what time of car. If it has a screw type tensioner you tighten I would tighten the belt and check all your pulleys. If its an auto tensioner it could have failed causing your loose belt.
