Toyota Corolla 07 Belt Tensioner?

Default Toyota Corolla 07 Belt Tensioner?
I have a Toyota Corolla 2007 and I noticed there is a sound coming around the belt. I have read online that it is mostlikely the belt tensioner and toyota has a warranty 36k miles or 36 months for the belt tensioner. I was wondering how would I claim this warranty? And would they charge me anything for it? Has anyone done this yet? Please let me know thank you!

if your under 36k then just take it into a toyota dealer and have them check it. mention the tensioner so they'll check it too. most likely they'll just change the tensioner and belt together when you go and get it check. Only if your still under 36k or 36 month.















I had both of them change on my car at the dealer when i had 24k on it. that was like 2 yrs ago though. i drive an 06 corolla.

Your belt tensioner and belt would be covered under Toyota's 3yr/36,000 mile warranty. As long as you're within those parameters, there will be no charge. I have filed numerous warranty claims for belts & tensioners. Let me know if you need anymore help.
