It depends on whether you are talking about the extra weight or if you might need to use the spare wheel. If it is about extra weight it will make no difference but if you were going off road in it it might be needed, which you shouldn't be doing anyway considering it is a soft roader.

NO BECAUSE YOU WOULD LOSE ROOM AND CAN JUST GET A CAR. FROM 1997-2002 WAS MOTOR TREND CAR OF YEAR.

It would be something less which a criminal would steal.































I've seen hundreds of them get stolen. At $600 for the alloy wheel alone, it's no wonder!

You'll lose interior space if you place it inside. Toyotas objective is to maximize interior space for passenger and cargo. While the previous generation RAVs were just downright small, the current one is roomy enough to include a third row seat. Also, I doubt that the spare will be a full-sized one if it were inside.
